What it shows
- Each repeating sales invoice template, with customer, reference and how often it runs
- The next invoice date, any end date and whether new invoices are saved as drafts, approved or approved for sending
- An average monthly value per template and in total, with weekly and quarterly templates converted to a month
Xero has no repeating invoices report. A request for one had 269 votes on Xero's product ideas forum in October 2026, and in July 2025 Xero said no work was planned. The Receivable Invoice Detail report only shows invoices a template has already created, not the templates themselves.
Where to find it in Xero
There's no report for this in Xero. The list lives under Sales > Invoices > Repeating (in older Xero menus, Business > Invoices), one row per template.
Settings worth knowing
- On the Repeating tab, open a template to see or change its schedule, amount and save option
Things to watch out for
- The Repeating tab is a screen, not a report, so there's no export or PDF of the list.
- Amounts are the template amounts. If you change the amount on a draft invoice before approving it, the invoice that goes out won't match the list.
- Amounts include tax, as on the invoice.
Getting it by email on a schedule
Xero's standard report screens have no schedule option, so the usual routine is to export the report and attach it by hand. Reportpost sends a list of your repeating sales invoices as at the day it sends: customer, reference, how often, next invoice date, end date, status, amount and an average monthly value, with a monthly total per currency. Use it as a monthly recurring-income check, or to catch a template before it runs out. If a template's next date has passed without Xero raising the invoice, the list marks it. You choose the recipients and how often the email goes out: weekly, every two weeks, monthly or quarterly, at the hour you pick in your timezone. Try the demo without connecting Xero.
