Where to find it in Xero
Reporting > All reports > Executive Summary.
Settings worth knowing
- Compare with previous periods or the financial-year average, with variance arrows
- Filter to add or remove lines
- Year-to-date column
Things to watch out for
- Only the cash, profitability and balance sheet figures drill down; the ratios are calculated by Xero.
- Exports copy the figures but not the calculations.
Getting it by email on a schedule
Xero can't email reports on a schedule, so the usual routine is to export the report and attach it by hand. Reportpost sends Xero's Executive Summary for the period end you choose, alongside any other reports in the pack. Choose weekly, every two weeks, monthly or quarterly, and the recipients. You can try the demo without connecting Xero.
